Narex Premium Wood Line Bench Chisels - Boxed Set of 4

Narex chisels have long enjoyed a “best value” reputation, and even won this designation in a Fine Woodworking test of 23 chisels. Made in the Czech Republic, the chisels are strikingly well-made for their price.

Narex’s Wood Line chisels’ blades are made from chrome-manganese steel hardened to Rc59, are easy to sharpen and hold the edge well. Their bevels are ground at a 25 degree angle. The backs are very, very slightly concave so flattening to the edge is very quickly done. The lacquered European Beech handles with steel ferrules will stand up to your workshop malleting. They fit well in the hand, good for easy grasping with one hand or paring with both hands.

The set of 4 includes 8, 10, 16 and 32 mm chisels (approximately 5/16” , ⅜", ⅝", and 1 ¼"). The chisels are metric widths; we are including their approximate imperial equivalent for your convenience. Blade lengths range from 120 mm( 4.7”) - 140 mm (5.5”) and overall lengths from 258 mm (10.2”) - 286mm (11.25”). The chisels arrive moderately sharp and can be used out of the box, but for best results require a final hand honing and sharpening. Made in the Czech Republic.
