The CT 48 E HEPA AC combines a giant CT 48 Liter capacity- Festool's largest, most powerful dust extractors, suitable for the toughest, filthiest jobs -- with Festool’s Autoclean (AC) feature, an automatic main filter cleaning that ensures continuously high suction power, previously available only in the CT 36 AC.
After a few years of offering a Bluetooth interface on the CT Midi (and the discontinued CT Mini), Festool is now installing Bluetooth interfaces on all its corded dust extractors other than the CT 15 and CT 25. The Bluetooth allows you to start your vac using a Festool cordless tool or the (separately purchased) remote control so you don’t need to walk over to the vac. The vac can also connect with the Festool Work app, which can give you information via the app.
The CT 48 AC has a huge container capacity of 48L (12.7 gal.) and 137 CFM volume flow. Since the vac is outfitted with both a HEPA filter and the automatic filter cleaning, it's perfect for big dust generating tasks and for OSHA Table 1 silica dust generating work.

The CT 48 E HEPA AC can handle the mess of track saws, routers, hammer drills and more. Note: Festool has discontinued the "regular" CT 48 vac and now manufactures only the CT48AC in this size.
