Festool Planex Easy - Non-Extendable LHS 225 Drywall Sander

The Planex Easy is designed to tackle the daunting, physically hard and messy task of sanding drywall and make it a clean, fast operation. Just unpack the Easy, plug it in, and get to sanding. It weighs under 9 lbs and its 63" single-piece design, flexible sanding head, great balance, and intuitive controls make it a joy to use.

As always, Festool helps you work cleaner with the integrated dust extraction design. A removable top allows greater freedom of movement and close-up sanding of inside edges and other close surfaces. The Easy has a brushless motor and a length that is great for most walls and ceilings up to about 8 or 9 feet. It has a fixed length handle that cannot be extended.

For a quick recap, the Planex Easy comes in a cardboard box and is the most affordable member of the Planex family. It makes a great secondary or “road crew” version of the gold standard Planex (which is affixed with a surface light; is extendable; has a random orbital sanding pattern; and is packed in a Systainer) when you don’t need or can’t justify the cost of those features. It is significantly more affordable than the Planex M, (which does not have the light but does have a random orbital sanding pattern and a transport bag). You’ll still get the famed Festool quality and superior dust extraction at a price comparable to lesser drywall sanders made by other tool companies.

The Planex will work with any Festool vacuum but the CT 36 Auto Clean (AC) is optimized for use with the Planex because its hose has a scalloped end that locks into the sander, and the "Auto Clean" feature (in the CT36AC and CT48AC) regularly blows air in the opposing direction of the suction to keep the filters clean and at peak efficiency.
