Block Cutting tools, or as they are called in England, "American Palm Cutting Tools," are very popular with American carvers because their small size is perfect for detail work on caricature and decoy carvings. Palm tools are also perfect for wood block carving. They are not used with a mallet. The tools are all about 5 1/2" long overall including the handle. We sell the palm tools individually, or in a few sets. Like all our Ashley Iles tools, they are shipped sharp and ready to use

Note: Sweep I is a straight chisel. Sweep 2 is a skew chisel or in English carving terminology a "corner" chisel. With the exception of dog leg chisels all Ashley Iles straight and skew chisels are double beveled.
