Festool Boom Arm Set CT-ASA

Boom arms keep your hose and power cords away from your workpiece so you can navigate smoothly without snags, tangles and interruptions. Historically Festool’s boom arms were daunting single pieces, but these sets instead consist of a flexible, swiveling arm and adjustable telescoping tube and modular chain links that can be customized in length. No more cords and hose in the way! Sand without worrying about a hose or cord dragging against your finish. Move about your workshop with greater ease.

The Flexible Boom Arm Set in MFT Systainer 578517 is packed into the MFT-topped Systainer, which gives you a portable mini-MFT work surface when clamped onto your vacuum.

To use, install the MFT topped SYS-MFT 187 (in which the set comes) on top of a dust extractor and screw the telescopic tube into the MFT top. In the alternative, screw the telescopic top into your MFT table. Then connect the FLX Extraction Arm and run your power cord and hose in the Arm to connect to your tool and fasten in place.

Packing up is just as easy - just reverse those steps. The Arm neatly stores in the Systainer. And unlike previous versions of the boom arm, you do not need to buy a handle for your vac in order to make it work. Arm length: 3.28 ft. Telescopic Tube Length: 24.8". Overall Height (including Systainer): 3.44 ft.

The MFT Set includes one telescopic tube with fixing screw, one CT-ASA FLX Extraction Arm and five hook-and-loop fasteners (to keep the hose and cord organized along the arm). Packed in a SYS-MFT 187 systainer.

The wall mounted flexible Boom Arm Set CT-ASA FLX W (578518) is intended for permanent workshop installation and saves floor and bench space. The swiveling arm can be easily out of the way when you don’t need it. This set includes the CT-ASA FLX Extraction Arm, 1 Wall Bracket and 5 Hook-and-loop fasteners (to keep the hose and cord organized along the arm).If you need additional links, the Extension Set includes three chain links, each adding 4" (100 mm) of length for a total extension of 4", 8", or 12". Links can also be replaced individually as needed. You can also shorten the Arm’s length by removing links.
