The glossiest of the three Osmo Polyx-Oils, Polyx 3011 Glossy is great as a floor finish and also popular for furniture finishing. Osmo products meet Germany’s exacting standards for safety and have become popular for anything that someone might chew or eat from. Polyx-Oils are made of natural oils (sunflower, soybean and thistle) and waxes (carnauba and candelilla) plus a bit of low-odor, benzene-free solvent. Once dry, the finish is food safe and appropriate for children’s toys.

These environmentally friendly characteristics of Polyx-Oils stem from an approach that also focuses on the finish enhancing wood’s natural beauty, strengthening the wood grain rather than coating it with a plasticky-cover. Polyx-Oils leave the wood micro-porous and breathing, which enables the finish to perform well even in conditions of high humidity. Polyx-Oil 3011 offers very robust resistance to water and dirt and whatever liquids you can throw at its surface - coffee, red wine, tea, soda, grape juice, milk, etc.

Polyx-Oil 3011 is an extremely durable choice especially if you want to preserve the look and feel of natural wood. Apply the first coat to clean, sanded wood. Let it dry for 8 - 10 hours and then apply the second coat. For interior use only. Made in Germany.
Approximate coverage: 250 ft2/L with one coat
Number of coats: 2 coats
Application temperature: 40℉ to 95℉
Drying time: 8 - 10 hrs
Domestic Ground shipment only (cannot be shipped by air).

"If I had to choose one of these hard-wax oils to keep on hand, it would be Osmo Polyx-Oil." - Fine Woodworking Magazine, August 2024
