Socket awls are useful for marking, scribing, punching pilot holes and enlarging holes once they are made. This awl features a blade made of tool steel tapered to a sharp point and a pleasingly shaped rounded handle made of Kashi (Japanese White Oak). The handle is attached to the blade with a socket and tang for a lifetime of use.
