Pine Solvent by Real Milk Paint

RMP Finishes has occasionally used pine solvent in the past in their popular tung oil finish Half & Half, and now is offering pine solvent as a standalone product.

Pine Solvent's most salient feature when compared to RMP's Citrus Solvent is its much lower cost. Unlike RMP's Odorless Mineral Spirits, Pine Solvent is available in 16 oz and 32 oz options, not just gallons.

You'll still get a safer, more environmentally friendly, and better smelling replacement for standard mineral spirits and harsh de-greasers.

And, as you'd expect from a product that RMP used in its own Half & Half, it's great mixed - typically in a 1:1 ratio, but you do you - with Real Milk Paint tung oil or dark tung oil to bring out the natural beauty of wood grain while protecting against water and wear.

It's also great for general de-greasing and cleaning purposes for tools, brushes and equipment. We recommend that you use gloves and work in a ventilated area, as repeated exposure can develop sensitivities.

Pine Solvent is flammable: Keep containers tightly closed away from extreme temperature changes and open flames. Rags, steel wool or waste soaked with oil may spontaneously catch fire if improperly discarded. Immediately after use, place the oil soaked material in a sealed water-filled metal container or hang outside separately to dry.
