Much in the English fashion, with crisp vase and ring turnings of the legs. It is walnut with cypress and yellow pine descended in The Laurens family of South Carolina and can be traced to the parents of Henry Laurens, the patriot. MESDA. H.29 3/4, Top 48 x 58. This piece is part of the collection at the Museum of Early Decorative Arts (MESDA) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
