The Domino Connectors are joinery fasteners ideal for any project that you want to be able to knock down and then sturdily reassemble.
We use the Connectors for tool show benches and displays, and our customers use it for a wide range of projects and installations. Space is obviously at a premium in NYC, but customers all over the country have the need for space saving or just the ability to quickly assemble, disassemble and then reassemble joinery. If you're building a bed, sofa or another large piece of furniture for use somewhere else, wouldn't it be great to make your on-site assembly easier? Festool's flat and corner knock down Domino connectors make your pieces more portable. It is also ideal for people working solo - with the Connectors, cupboard assembly, for example, is a task you can easily do on your own.
The Connector joints are very stable and a worthy addition to your joinery repertoire. Insert these knock down connectors the same way as you would loose tenons - on corner panel joints to center panel joints to joints between a series of holes.
The Connectors come in a variety of permutations. For use with materials with a minimum thickness of 3/4" (18mm).

Connects a horizontal panel with a Domino hole and a 5 mm hole in the vertical panel. Can also, with lesser strength, connect two horizontal panels

The Domino Connector hinge cutter (hinge location drill bit) 203165 and drill template (203164) are used for drilling holes in the surface of the Domino DF 500 8mm joint fixture.
