Return to Taos: Eric Sloane's Sketchbook of Roadside Americana

Return to Taos is Eric Sloane’s travelogue of two trips made from New York to Taos - first in 1925 riding cross country in a rickety Model T Ford, painting signs on bridges and barns to pay expenses, and then in 1960, marveling at the “purity” Taos, a place Sloane regarded as miraculously untouched by the changes to society experienced elsewhere.

The book is an interesting addition to the collection for a Sloane enthusiast.
