Osmo Tannin Spot Remover 6602

Osmo Tannin Spot Remover is highly effective at removing black spots on wood that contains tannic acid (such as oak). It’s a specialized cleaner for removing spots from both oiled and untreated wood.

The Tannin Spot Remover is particularly easy to use. Just evenly onto the spot until the surface is completely covered. Allow the product to react for 30-45 minutes and then wipe with a lint-free cloth. If necessary, repeat and then wipe clean with clear water. There is no need for for a separate post-treatment step to neutralize the acid. After drying, apply a suitable Osmo hard-wax oil on the treated area, so that the wood is protected again.

This is a useful product to have on hand, since existing finishes can allow spotty water damage if they were not properly applied.
