Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil 430 is a high-quality exterior finish to which a compressed organic anti-slip material has been added. Use it on exterior wooden steps and decking for a satin-matt, water repellent finish that reduces the risk of the wood’s swelling and shrinkage - and your risk of falling. It offers a breathable finish with active ingredients that prevent mold, algae and fungal attack. As with all Osmo products, the finish will not crack, flake, peel or blister.

Anti-Slip Decking Oil is easy to apply and easy to renew - no sanding or primer necessary. When dry, the finish is safe for humans, plants and animals.

Note: Osmo Decking Oils are not recommended for green oak or other woods with high (above 20%) moisture content. Woods with varnish, lacquer or other surface coatings should be sanded down to the bare wood prior to treatment with Decking Oil. Because the finish is clear, Anti-Slip Decking Oil offers limited UV protection. Osmo recommends a first coat with a pigmented oil that matches the underlying wood color if UV protection is desired.

To ensure that the finish can penetrate into the wood surface correctly and for maximum durability, fresh/new, hard or oily wood (high amount of natural extractives) should be exposed to the elements and must be allowed to weather after installation. Recommended weathering duration: soft/coniferous woods such as Larch or Douglas Fir, approximately 6 weeks; freshly pressure impregnated, thermo-treated or tropical wood species etc., approximately 12 weeks.

Coverage: 258 sq ft per 1L with one coat.
