Whiteside Rail and Stile Router Bit Sets

Whiteside rail and stile bits make sturdy, frame and panel construction, a snap. The profile and panel groove are cut in a single pass, with depth of cut controlled by a ball bearing guide. The bearing provides accuracy and allows the the bits to be used for constructing arched curved or otherwise contoured frames.

Each set consists of two carbide tipped router bits, one for profiling and slotting, and other for coping the end of the rails. Ideal for stock from 5/8" to 7/8" thick.

A Raised Panel bit is simply an edge profile cutter designed to cut a decorative reveal around the perimeter of a panel, and thin the edge into a tongue that will fit into the rail and stile of the frame.

Rail and Stile sets consist of two bits for shaping and joining the vertical (stile) and horizontal (rail) of traditional frame and panel doors and cabinets. A pair of matched cutters ensures that the rail and stile fit perfectly and snugly together.
