Cast Flywheel looks great!
By: Johnathan (Jun, 2025)
I literally check this listing out about once a week to see if there are any updates, new photos, new blog posts, anything. Not sure how I missed the cast flywheel photo?!? Or maybe I saw it long ago, forgot about it, and am just noticing again now?…? Either way, the stoke is still high on this thing, it’s exactly what I’ve wanted and hoped for a long time. Good luck y’all on the way to production!
Great idea for keeping in shape

As a young boy I used to play on and use my grandmother's Singer Sewing machine which was foot powered. If this lathe can be powered as easily as that it would be awesome. I think you can build it for well under $3k, especially if you get enough orders. Keep me updated please
interested customer if can easily attach a motor for future flexibility
By: Joe Leonetti (Jul, 2024)
Just a thought, when you make it, if there were holes or a plate predrilled so that a motor could be attached, it might increase the appeal. I'm currently taking a wood turning class and have been looking at lathes. Not sure I would always want to be foot powered. If I could easily attach a motor to this one, it would greatly increase this machine's flexibility. Not sure how hard that would be to accomplish. Just a thought.

Two Feet?

This is super cool! Have you considered a two-way treadle, like a sewing machine, that could use both feet while the operator sits on a stool? Potentially more power and more even transmission of power.
