As the Festool RTS 400 showed, a lightweight rectangular sanding pad sander is great when you're doing a lot of overhead and vertical surface sanding with tight corners.
You’ll save a lot of time -- and a lot of fatigue -- compared to using a disk sander followed by a detail sander. Now you can get the benefits of the RTS shape and Festool quality in the hybrid cordless RTSC, which allows you to go easily from corded to cordless - perfect for a crowded job site or just for the feeling of being free of the cord. The 18 volt Ergo battery provides up to 30 minutes of full-power runtime. The balanced design and rubberized grip give you comfort and control, and the pad brake with integrated carbide inserts give you optimal pad control. And the superior dust extraction means you’ll have a cleaner work environment, longer abrasive life and better sanding results.
The sander comes in three versions - The
Basic does not have batteries, charger or adapter - perfect if you already have these from another cordless sander. The
Plus which has batteries and a charger too. And
The Set, which includes batteries and a charger but also includes a cord and an adapter so that you can plug the sander into an outlet for jobs where portability isn't needed. Details below.
