Festool 18V Batteries and Chargers for Cordless Tools

Festool 18V batteries are the mainstay batteries for almost all cordless Festool tools - and Festool is determined to give you the power and run time necessary to go cordless. And very important to note: All batteries and chargers are covered by Festool's 3 year warranty from date of purchase.

All current Festool batteries are Bluetooth enabled, which allows automatic activation of a Festool vacuum and and provides access to detailed battery data through the Festool app.

Festool is constantly upgrading the batteries’ design and cell technology. AirStream (AS) technology directs cool air through targeted air ducts in the battery so the battery does not overheat. Tabless 4 Ah batteries eliminate cell tabs, which allows energy to flow more efficiently through the battery and reduces heat build-up. Li-HighPower batteries are exceptionally powerful and durable.

The 4Ah batteries are more compact and lightweight, desirable when weight is an issue - for example, when drilling. There is only one tool that specifically requires the 4Ah batteries - the CTC Sys vacuum, which has space only for these more compact batteries. Choose batteries of at least 5 Ah (5 Ah or 8 Ah batteries) when the tool needs a lot of power. As you can see from the photos, the batteries have somewhat different dimensions.

All Festool batteries listed here are bluetooth compatible to connect to and turn on any Festool bluetooth enable dust collector when the cordless tool is being used.

Batteries and chargers are sold individually and in sets. Energy Sets consist of batteries (choose either 2 or 4 batteries) and a double-charger packed in a Systainer Sys M187. Starter Sets consist two batteries and a single charger packed in a cardboard box.

Note: Festool is phasing out packages of cordless tools accompanied by batteries and charger, and all cordless tools will gradually be available only in “Basic” versions, with batteries and charger sold separately.

These 18V batteries are suitable for most Festool tools other than drills that do not have the number 18 in their title (for example, the CXS 12) and for the original cordless versions of the ETSC, DTSC and RTSC cordless sanders that take a finger-shaped Ergo battery. The 18V chargers will generally be able to charge batteries from the 10.8 V, 14.4 V and 18 V classes (with the exception of BP-XS for CXS/TXS 10.8 V).
