Modern Furniture Construction - Making a Zig-Zag Chair

Sat Jun 17 2017 A Class with Sebastion Lata

Modern Furniture Construction - Making a Zig-Zag Chair 1
After Sebastian Lata, a licensed general contractor and master woodworker, gave a free Festool instruction demonstration, we received many queries for a hands-on class that gave students a chance to employ the techniques Sebastian showed them. So by popular demand, we're offering two classes in modern construction taught by Sebastian, with the goal of offering other classes in the series.

These hands-on classes offer a great opportunity to learn the techniques of modern construction and take away practical, useful projects that you’ll be proud of. These all day classes are held at our location in Brooklyn. We’ll be using Festool tools, ideal for precision woodworking in small spaces.

Making a Zig-Zag Chair

Sat. Jun 17, 2017: 10:00 AM - 5:00PM

Class description: Offered by popular demand following our demonstration class building a Zig Zag chair, this hands-on class gives students to leave with their own Zig Zag chair based on the Reitveld design with Sebastian's twist for improved strength. The class will emphasis working with acute angles and compound joinery, precision work that’s possible even in a non-precise environment. It’s a great way to understand how modern furniture can be easily made.

Instructor: Sebastion Lata
Cost: $200.00 + $50.00 materials fee (Total = $250). All tools will be provided.
Students must bring (or purchase before the class) safety goggles and hearing protection.

Class duration: 10:00 AM - 5:00PM with a 1 hour break for lunch.
Where: At our showroom at 112 26th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11232

Update: Class has already been held.

Parking is available in our driveway, near our driveway, and under the expressway. The subway (R train to 25th street in Brooklyn) is only 3 1/2 blocks away.
