Although this looks like it could be a Harvey Ellis design, this chair originally appeared, with slightly different legs, in 1901, two years before Ellis came to work for Stickley. The loose seat cushion was used until 1909, when it was replaced with a spring cushion. The steam-bent bow arms, plus the angle of the cushion, make this one of the most comfortable of all the Morris chairs. Later versions of this chair had legs that were 2 inches longer, addded to the bottom of the leg.

The fnished dimensions of the piece are: 31.5" wide x 37" high x 37" deep.

These plans have been produced in AutoCAD, and printed in large-format on two sheets of high quality, 20 lb. bond paper. These drawings include elevations, plans, and section views. Details are shown in large scale, and these drawings are clear, and easy to follow. Orthographic views, sections and full-size details, plus complete cutting lists are included.

Note: this plans is a larger and more detailed version of the plan that appears in Robert Lang's book of Arts & Crafts plans.
