We have been asked repeatedly for a guide to making cutting boards, so we’re happy to offer this one. For many woodworkers, a cutting board was among their first woodworking projects, a way to learn the craft and have the pleasure of a completed and usable piece of woodcraft. But cutting boards can continue as a way to showcase a complex technique or a stunning piece of lumber.

The book’s author, David Picciuto, is known for his YouTube Channel and website, called “Make Something.” His message is simple: go and build! His encouraging and practical tone will give you the motivation and inspiration to create. You’ll also be inspired by the gallery of beautiful designs featured in the book.

The 15 projects include a live edge cutting board; an over-the-sink board with drainage; a cheeseboard with accompanying cheese knife; a pizza peel; and a board that utilizes wood scraps.
